The Carpe Diem liveaboard is well-known for having a focus on superior service and quality. There are 10 cabins onboard spread over 3 decks with the choice of cabin standards, each with en-suite bathrooms and AC. On the lower deck are 6 standard cabins, 4 of which have 2 single beds which can be converted to doubles and the other 2 each have one single bed and one semi bunk bed. On the main deck are two double cabins with queen size beds and the upper deck has 1 deluxe cabin with a queen bed and 1 suite with a king bed. All main and upper deck cabins feature a smart TV and stunning sea views. Social areas are spread out over 3 decks and encompass an indoor salon, outdoor terrace and dining area, and sundeck with comfortable loungers.
Dive itineraries aboard the MV Carpe Diem liveaboard are 7 or 10-nights long and explore some of the best dive sites in the Maldives, including Kudarah Thila, Manta Point, Maaya Thila, Fish Head, and Machafushi wreck. Get up close with mantas, whale sharks, nurse sharks, reef sharks, turtles, and huge schools of fish in the stunning Indian Ocean. The incredibly experienced dive crew is on hand to ensure the perfect Maldives liveaboard experience. Diving takes place from the dedicated diving Dhoni, where there is plenty of room for gear storage, rinsing, and kitting up. Free nitrox is also available for those certified.

A week in heaven on the Carpe Diem
Our first time on a week long liveaboard. Fabulous! The Carpe Diem was kept clean and well run. The dive lead Munkko was excellent at keeping everyone informed. All the crew was friendly and attentive and all the dive guides were helpful and pleasant. Munkko was our private guide for the week and was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to work on improving skills with my 16 year old and helped me obtain my advanced certification. The dive sites were carefully picked daily. Of course wildlife doesn’t always comply. We checked many reef shark cleaning stations with great rewards but the mantas were elusive until we were snorkeling on the last day. They found tons of macro life. We also went diving at a spot with large sharks in Male by the marina and enjoyed lemon, tiger and bull sharks along with giant rays. Incredible. The beach bar b que night was a night shore break at a beautiful location under the stars. Fabulous operation. Smoothly run. Great crew. Beautiful part of the world.

Excellent boat and a great week of diving
Carpe Diem is a very large & well laid out boat. The standard twin cabin was very large and well appointed. Food and drinks were excellent, one of the best menus I have experienced on a liveaboard trip. Daily fresh towels were provided for after the dives. Dive Briefings were well run & the organisation of the boat, dives, briefing, safety was all to a very high standard.

Great liveaboard, amazing value
Carpe Novo had really friendly staff, the dive guides were super knowledgeable and accommodating as far as transfers to and from the airport. Quality of diving and price cannot be beat. Food was excellent the whole trip, and the boat was spacious and felt luxurious compared to other liveaboard I’ve been on. 10/10 would book with them again.

Medium enjoyable experience. Communication problems through liveaboard, no fins of all sizes on the boat. Not so good planning of return to Male (speedboat was 70 minutes they told me 15, had to run to take flight)

Best Diving Safari ever
That my 5th diving safari around the world and with no hesitation I can tell you Carpe Diem was the best so far !!! Our guide, Munkko, was probably the best I ever met ! This guy is also one of the funniest and nicest person on earth. Every single person of this boat is so kind and professional. I am really grateful for this week with you all guys. I felt safe at every moment which is very important : navigating, diving : all the plans they made was to keep all of us safe. Even with 2 days of bad weather ( no whale shark & barbecue on a sandbank ) they tried their best to catch up later and we had : night dive with mantas dancing, dive and play with nurse sharks, many eagle rays, turtles, reef sharks and… probably one of my best dives on the last day : lemon sharks, bullsharks, hammerhead AND tiger shark ! People on this boat were amazing, we had the best cohesion and fun ! I’m so glad I met them. Also, I would like to thanks the cooking chef who was stunning : food was so tasty and varied… I don’t know what I’m going to miss the most ( probably the food 😂 ) I’m still waiting to get his curry’s recipe ! Do not hesitate to book on Carpe Diem which I 1000000% recommend ! I will come back for sure ! Thank you all once again, Marcia, the French lady who is not complaining at all 😜

Great choice for a Maldives liveaboard
We are very happy with our choice to book a liveaboard with Carpe Diem. The boat was very comfortable, well maintained and special thanks to the crew - there were no wishes unfullfilled. Everyday we had delicious meals and snacks. The boat and the rooms were cleaned several times everyday. The 16 divers were split in three small diving groups, got detailed briefings before every dive and were assisted, whenever needed. The diveguides were keen to show us the best divesides, avoid the crowds and make the most of our trip... on the many beautiful and exciting dives, we were lucky to see mantas, a whaleshark, seaturtles, eagle rays and countless sharks... including bullshark, tiger sharks and a hammerhead shark! Thanks for this amazing trip!

Excellent Maldives liveaboard
Review of Carpe Diem Cruises Maldives My second trip on this vessel and it was just as excellent as the first one 2 years ago. The staff are so important on a Liveaboard as they have such an influence on the experience and the Carpe Diem crew are truly outstanding from the Captain down . Everyone is so friendly and professional even during Ramadan. The food is amazing. The bar is very well stocked and I loved the Margaritas. This is one of the few boats that have ice cold Lion Lager on tap…. so refreshing after a long day of diving and very reasonable prices. Seriously, you need look no further. Air conditioned spacious ensuite cabins, good internet and fresh dive towels everyday. Free Nitrox which, in my experience, is exceptional. I will be booking a 3rd trip with this company. They have 3 boats to choose from: Carpe Diem, Carpe Nova and Carpe Vita. Enjoy.
