Diving memory for a lifetime!
From pick up to drop off in Sorong, the entire experience was well-organized. Crew and dive guides were professional and experienced, a pleasure to spend time with. Rental dive equipment was top condition, there was plenty of space for getting prepared on the dive deck, wash/rinse stations for cameras, dive computers, etc. Briefings were clear and the actual diving was some of the best I have ever seen. Food & drink services was great, it's amazing what they can put together in that small ship's galley! There were some nice hikes included as part of the experience as the beauty of Raja Ampat is not entirely below water. Crew even helped recover a camera drone which yielded some of the most amazing videos of the islands. Shark Point was also very memorable. The boat itself was well-designed, but some of the rooms apparently had leaks which were sealed with tarps and reportedly would be fixed in the next refit. My cabin had no trouble with this at all during my weeklong liveaboard experience. Once that is fixed, it's a 10/10.

Diving Raja Ampat was a lifelong dream and Amaya Explorer made it come true.
Much enjoyed my first paid live aboard, fantastic diving, great crew and dive masters.

Like I said, just a wonderful week. The diving, the people, and the food.
Just a really wonderful 8 days and 7 nights. The diving in Raja is obviously some of the best in the world, but the dive staff on Amaya makes it easy, setting up all the equipment on the dinghies and cleaning everything after each dive. The level of service is very high

Incredible and wonderful
What an incredible trip, having not done a liveaboard before and with only 15 dives under my belt, I was a little apprehensive but the staff were amazing and couldn’t have done more for us. The diving was unforgettable in a good way and we had a great bunch of guest too. Will treasure the experience forever.

Great time in the water and great time on board the Amaya explorer.
A great week with a wonderful group on the Amaya explorer. The staff are lovely and attentive to all your needs. The dives were very focused on finding the hammerheads which wasn’t important to me and our guide picked up on that and tried hard to balance the diving. The visibility in the blue was not great but that’s the ocean for you. Still we saw lots of eels- amazing fish- octopus eagle rays- sea snake- anemones- Scorpio fish the manta and yes the hammerheads. A great experience with a great crew wonderful food - will definitely return to the Amaya!

The My Amaya liveaboard experience was better than my Bali Retreat
Awesome crew with a great sense of humor and service attitude; always tasty food and a warm towel waiting with a smile for us after diving; amazing vibes throughout the week below and above water with tons of fun! Brillant boat design with 1 „big „family“ outdoor dining table that makes for a great sense of community, but also with a variety of individual time-out spots

Fantastic boat, crew and location (Komodo)
When we failed to see Manta's at two hopeful spots, the staff changed up our last dive so we could try again (unfortunately still not our lucky day). The food quality was fantastic and staff very accommodating. There were some nights where the boat rocking made it tough to sleep so definitely make the most of the calm patches during the day to get a nap or two in. The diving was incredible and staff knowledgeable about the area and dive sites. There were times where as a group we would have preferred to be earlier as were last/not first to hikes or dive sites but wasn't a big deal. As a vegetarian there were plenty of options although it was always the food to run out first given non vegetarians would eat both options so would bring some additional snacks just in case.

Awesome first live aboard experience
I really enjoyed this trip in Komodo. The scenery is spectacular and it was a privilege to see a Komodo dragon. The Amaya is a beautiful boat, plenty of shady spots on deck to read and relax between dives (or sun yourself if you wish). The staff were awesome - so friendly and helpful. The food was great - I can’t believe the quality and variety produced in that little galley. We had a couple of special dinners on the deck that were wonderful. The diving that I managed to do was very enjoyable (sadly a cold interfered and I missed some dives) - our dive guide Wilson was excellent and helped us keep the dives appropriate for our skill level. I would love to go back and visit Raja with the Amaya crew one day. Thank you to you all!
